Great place if you want to get yourself some Aas (ohh i just love saying that - its their local beer)
Moved from a previous downstairs place across town, still retains its rock status
Good atmosphere, friendly staff, good sounds, pool table and a good crowd.
Quiet in the week but gets comfortably full towards the weekends.

    Nice

Located centrally in Oslo. A pub where you can hear Rock 'n' Roll and Heavy Metal all the time, as well as request songs. Live gigs once every month. Good prices and loud music, nice bartenders and angry doormen. Pick a stool by the bar, and enjoy the view!

    Love the place!

A really nice place to hang out and get some beers and shots in. The musics abit high but its all gravy in my books. Had a blast here on many nights and can definitely recommend the place. Music is nice and diverse, cant expect much on varieties of beers as the beer culture in Oslo sucks balls (alot of good beers in Norway though..Nogne, Handbryggeriet etc) but had a blast :)

This pub is cool ! People are so friendly... Ok, the music wasn't my cup of tea, too new school, but it's a fucking great place to have a funny night.

    Very Good

Not as good as unholy, but still great. The atmosphere isn't that cool, kind of big and weird lighting. They played all metal when I was there but it was a big mix. Meshuggah, Slipknot, Amon Amarth, Otep.

    Fair

We went there on a Thursday night and it was still pretty busy even after 1 o`clock. You can easily meet people, ask for music and they also have a pool table. With 40 NOKs for local beer throuhg the week it is one really cheap catch for Oslo level.

    An awesome pub

We only visited one pub during our visit in Oslo, but I'm glad we picked this one. It was recommeded to us by several people and when we visited we were not disipointed. The play a wide variety of metal, but if you sit at the bar you can talk up the DJ. He agreed with us on a lot of the stuff we like so he mostly played whatever we requested and added some awesome suggestions of his own. Nobody else really requested any songs to be played so we basially got to run the sterio for the night! The bartender was very friendly as well. She talked with us all night, recommended drinks, and told us more about the country. Such a friendly place, but outside where everybody smokes it seems to be becoming a scene hang out. Not everybody there was totally into metal. I even saw a kid with a Korn shirt there, lol, Korn is from my hometown of Bakersfield and we pretty much all hate them here.

last time i went to rock in, they played immortal, darkthrone and some other grim metal, so I`m not that sure about the newer metal thing that is written here.. hail
