    Decent rock pub

Deffo more rock than metal. The jukebox will usually play anything from Johnny Cash to Behemoth, and there's live music upstairs almost every night - mosy usually blues and classic rock. Gigs downstairs are sort of heavier, often €2 to €5 in, but I have yet to see proper metal. Pints are cheap, the place looks nice, it's a decent enough pub where I take my hard rock but no growling please friends for a pint :p

Don't waste your time or money

I really don't like Gypsy Rose. It's full of posers, in my opinion. The pints are awful and the music isn't much better. If you're happy to listen to AC/DC, Def Leppard and Whitesnake all night, you'll be satisfied. Otherwise, don't expect anything heavier than Airbourne. As for the staff, I found most of the barmaids to be very rude any time I've been there. The rock bar is downstairs, which is bad news if you're a smoker. If you want to go for a smoke, you have to cross the bar, go upstairs and make your way through the crowded 'trendy' bar to go out the front to a tiny smoking area on a busy street. Drinks are expensive. My honest advice would be to avoid this place like the plague!
