I sent you a mail with some info and it´s not been included into the site.

First, please be patient. Probably we just haven´t updated the page yet. Updates can take up to 4 weeks. Sorry, just too much other stuff to do ;-)
If your info is not being included at all the reason might be a) we have done some research and/ or got other info – or, more likely, b) you sent us a club of the kind "there´s a Rock evening once a month, the rest of the time its Pop and Techno" which besides is located in a country where we already have a lot of "real" Metal locations. Such countries are Germany and Spain for example. In these countries we also don´t include locations in very small towns anymore. No tourist goes there anyway, and there´s just too much of those pubs/locations existing so the list would become endless. Sorry.
Regarding the festival list, please don´t send me info about small one-day indoor festivals which are rather gigs than festivals - even if they are called "festival". My festival list is concentrating on the real festivals, which means open air and usually more than one day. Thats the way I want it to be and I won´t change that, sorry.

Can you help me finding some locations to play with my band?

Sorry, most likely not. Just don´t have the connections. But of course you can find locations in your preferred cities at our page. Just try to contact them yourself. Good luck! :-)

I need info about cities or countries which are not listed. Can you help me?

Sorry again. Virtually all info we have is included in our data base. You can be sure that we won´t keep back our secret info about your whatever exotic travel destination! Try asking in our forum, probably there is someone who can help you.

I need info about gigs taking place during my holidays. Please tell me about the dates!

Well, do you really think we know about all gigs taking place around the world? Sorry, but we don´t. Besides its rather hard to guess which kind of Metal you prefer without knowing you. But for countries where its hard to find info we have listed some webzines so first check them out. For bigger countries we will probably add the major webzines as well, but I don´t think this will happen very soon. Anyway for counties with a lot of "Metal activity" info should be easy to find by using Google. You might also find some info in our link list, or try to ask in our forum!

I sent you a mail with the banner of my band´s website. Why don´t you link back to us?

Actually our links pages are kinda dedicated to our friends and contributors to the site. I like the thought to know the people personally or at least virtually who are behind those websites. So I just don´t want to link to every band which I don´t know.
But if you are running a website which is interesting or useful in any relation to the Metal Travel Guide (and also if your band is coming from a rather "exotic" country) you can be sure it will be mentioned either in the link list or at the respective country´s page.

Your search function sucks. Or: How to use the seach function!

Of course it doesn´t suck. But most probably you´ve tried to seach for terms like "Black Metal" or "Bars in Australia" or something like that.
So, let me explain: The search function only makes sense if you are looking for countries, regions, cities or location names. Type them in and you´ll find them.
But it does NOT look up all the info text for the locations. So if you type in "Black Metal" for example you´ll only get the locations which include the words "Black Metal" in their names. Sorry. But I think if you know in which area you are looking for locations you should be able to read the info text yourself!

Why are there maps of some countries, but not of all?

The maps are a new feature after our relaunch. But as it is a lot of work to make them we started with the countries for which we have most location entries. There will be some more maps, but definitely not of all countries. It´s not that we like some countries more than other, but nobody does really need a map to find the 2 biggest cities in India or Chile, right?

Please add some info who sent you the location info and how old it is!

Okay, some people requested this, so I´ve started to add when the location info was added/updated/verified last time. But sorry, I just can´t retrace for all locations where and when I got the info. So I will successively add this for all new locations, but not for all of the old ones. Also I won´t add email addresses and names of the people who sent it - sorry, but I don´t think everybody wants his/her name and email addy to be here in public and receive lots of spam mails because of it.

Can´t you add some kind of rating system where people can vote about the locations?

Nice idea! I´m already working on it - its hopefully coming soon :)

Please add a world-wide list of Metal Festivals!

Okay, this was requested by a lot of people and I couldn´t find any other website where someone had done this before in a really comprehensive way. So I´ve finally done it - check it out here!
