Since the dissolution of Club Blink in 2009, the Sydney scene lacked a nightspot that provided exclusively heavy music. Enter VENOM Nightclub in 2010, headed by former Blink DJs Nick Cauchi, Luke Stewart and Dave Whitby. Hosted at the Agincourt Hotel (just opposite Central Station) every Saturday night, the venue operates all three levels with the heaviest variety of tunes including live bands in the 'dark room' basement.

Venom is a massive improvement from Club Blink, which slowly grew stagnant with a playlist stuck on 90s goth-industrial music and nu-metal. You will hear everything here from Iron Maiden to Pantera to the heaviest of the 'death' sub-genres and everything in-between. You can chill with a beer on the middle-level, hit the dance floor upstairs or head downstairs to watch up-and-coming Aussie metal acts. The people are friendly, the DJs will play what YOU request and the 'Venom' shots at the bar are wickedly potent!!!
