Currently there are no live venues, pubs or nightclubs in Sydney dedicated to Metal only. However, there are a number of Metal promoters.
The best way to know which Metal gigs are happening in Sydney is to get a free copy of Drum Media http://www.drummedia.com.au (a weekly newspaper concentrating on live music) in almost any music store and many pubs in Sydney.
In particular, look at the Remedy pages and the surrounding pages for promoter's advertisements. Metal promoters currently include Bloodlust, Metal Evilution, Stigmata.
Another street newspaper is The Brag, but the Metal and related content is much smaller in comparison to Drum Media. Look for the Hard & Fast column.
