Duff's

Duff's Brooklyn is home of Metalheads, Rockers, horror friends, NYDM and other NY maniacs. The bar is run by Jimmy Duff, who once co-owned Hell's Kitchen Heavy Metal institution Bellevue. He resuscitated his horror-movie memorabilia at what he dubs Avenue E: Kent Avenue, across from the rippling East River. Drink a one-dollar PBR (until 9 p.m.) inside this former check-cashing shop, or get comfy on the patio.

Stolas Trephinator For a fantastic jukebox, crazy decor, and sightseeing the cream of New York's metal scene, Duff's is it. Spin the wheel for a free beer or T-shirt, but careful you don't end up in the cage with the gimp. Though small, and without draft beer, this is a must for any metalhead in the Big Apple.
Package The club looks great and stylish (in a good way) - things you often don't get to see in a metal club. I was there on Thursday and there were not mor than 10 people hanging around. But we've had a great time with the, everyone is really friendly. The jukebox is great but extremly loud for such a small location. Would visit it again!

Liz SkuseI managed to get to this bar a couple of nights on my last trip to New York, it's well worth the trip out of Manhattan, $2 on subway and around $20 back in a cab, which the bar staff very kindly called for me. Very chilled to have some beers outside with Machine Head blaring out of the jukebox, I got to chat with some of the locals too, they come from far and wide too from New Jersey and Long Island too. As a woman travelling alone I felt very comfortable here and would recommend it to anyone with a love of rock!
marshall Although this bar is much smaller than initially expected after seeing the pics they have on their webpage, once you are inside the venue enjoying a cold ber, everything is perfect: a good jukebox, extremely friendly stuff, Jim Duff itself... absolutely great. Life can be so nice sometimes, don´t you think?
