The closest BART station to Slim's is the Civic Center stop. It is approximately a 15 minute walk or you can take the #9 bus which runs down Market St. and stops at the corner of Folsom & 11th (Slim's is half-way down the block on the left hand side.)

Been going to metal shows in the SF Bay Area for >10 years and this is the BEST venue around. Intimate enough that you get a great experience, but big enough for very well known bands to play show there. Slims is the only place I know of that will pass out free water bottles to metalheads in the pit when things start getting heavy. They also have free ear plugs at the bar. The staff, especially Security and Bartenders are awesome. Great prices for tickets and booze, in and out if you're over 21, easy free parking. \m/
