The Richmond Metalfest will be held Friday and Saturday September 24 and 25th 2010 at Alley Katz in Richmond, Virginia. The festival is a 2 day event that will feature some well known metal bands as well as some great newer metal bands. The goal of the Richmond Metalfest is to give the fans a killer show for an affordable price, where everyone can see quality metal bands all on one stage that they'd likely not have the chance to see live

"We wanted to put together a festival where the bands are in control, and help make the decisions and offer input into the fest, not greedy promoters or people looking to rip off the fans and bands for their own benefit. Also, our intent was to put together an event that the fans could really enjoy and get their money's worth.

For the bands it's an opportunity to connect with fans new and old, as well as network with other metal acts and people in the metal scene. We're all looking forward to an awesome festival."
