gnoff I was back a little while ago and the toilets have been renovated, which is very good news!

Also they had St Peters Cream Stout on bottles, which is a very nice beer.

Before the Hypocrisy gig they played a lot of Hypo music, so they seem to be interested in what kind of crowd shows up when.

moonson always ultra crowded and extremly loud but probably one of the cheapest place in town and it's the gbg metalhead's head quarter

nEco the beer was cheap for the Swedish level, the music variety was great(1st floor was playing rock, ground floor metal) !! We ended up going up and down all night :D People are friendly, talkative and the women on the 1st floor were just amazing(ground floor was full of guys headbanging :P). Overall I would recommend it to anyone

Nathan HalperinWas in Goteborg for a couple of days earlier this year - Rockbaren is a very fun hangout - beer prices aren't bad, I didnt really care about what the selection was. There's also a couple of poker tables that you can sit at with the community - music playing on the video screens - and it's full of hot women.
Beware though - if you arrive after 10:00pm you could be queing outside for a while, especially on a friday night.

Ian WFantastic pub / bar if you like your music loud and sweaty in the centre of town, just a couple of minutes from The Hard Rock Cafe. Went in here for 3 nights - 23rd to 25th July which clashed with Iron Maiden playing the City, bar was packed out with a queue to get in especially at weekends.
Great atmosphere, the locals love tourists and are friendly. A real metal bar, 2 floors , good prices for Sweden but only one beer on draught but a good bottle selection. Open until 3am.
If you like loud music, I recomend this place.

gnoffRecently visited again with a friend, so time for an updated review I guess.

It's a good place with nice people and good music.
Still I want a better beer selection, but hey, maybe it's only me.
Think they had Starobrno and Newcastle brown in bottles, Norrlands Guld on tap. Might have been one or two more pale lagers on bottle.
Prices are OK.

Toilets are/were among the filthiest I've seen in a while in Sweden, you could smell them coming down the stairs even.

Suezit's a two floor pub, with good music. Not a great beer selections but good prices. They have a not good politics about wardrobe so you're obbly to give them your clothes (and pay about 2Euro) also if you want to keep it and this is not good 'cause if you want to go outside for smoke and then come back is a problem.
Anyway is a great melting pot with the great Goteborg metal scene!!!

AnnaYes, the selection of different beerlabels is rather limited. That's because it's a rather small place and they have instead chosen to have a few very good labels! Check out their rather new (and so far basic) homepage: www.rockbaren.com. Gothenbourgs best rockbar!!
