Bajos de Argüelles
In the Bajos de Argüelles center there are several places for listening to Heavy Metal: Lemmy (the biggest one, now existing for more than 20 years), Tyrant (great decoration with paintings all over the walls, lots of concert tickets and a big screen to see lots of videos), TNT (quite big bar, you can listen to music ranging from Hard Rock, rather classic Metal and also some Spanish Heavy Rock), Talisman and Spectro. All these pubs are located side by side one to another on the 2nd floor, and you can see all the zone taken by Metalheads. The bars are very 80's style and so customers, but you can also hear music from the 70's and the latest releases, but only Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Thrash, Speed & Power Metal. There is no Black or Death Metal music, and of course there is no Industrial, Nu- Metal, Punk or alternative Rock.
Though the places are not very big, the atmosphere is great, Heavy Metal all around like in a festival. In the other locations in the Bajos de Argüelles center they play Punk and Rock music.

My favorite place for metal in Spain!!! Though most of the bars are closed monday to wednesday, thursday friday and saturday are raging. Tyrant has amazing paintings all over the walls from venom to sodom to destruction and the owners are awesome. TNT the owner Pablo is a great friend and the bar is amazing. Manowar!!! Basically the entire plaza is great you can go to a bar for every type of metal, Ragnarok for viking metal is another great one. BLO!

TNT Heavy Rock Bar moves to another pub. it's still in Bajos de Argüelles but now is the biggest one (about 110m2) and the more crowed and more party too... Chris

Its quite central and not hard to find. The Tyrant, Lemmy and TnT seems to be there, but they werent open when i came there on 13 Dez around 20:00 oClock. Phil

This place was amazing about 10 - 15 years ago, but nowadays the police just closed most of the pubs, and there are not too many people in the pubs. Blo!

Almost every pubs are open again since last summer: Lemmy, Espectro, Tyrant, TNT, Tuareg, etc... And the zone is even greater than ever!!! What a awensome weekend i've got... Penny

almost all of the places of bajos de arguelles has been closed. The bars that still remains open are Lemmy, Tyrant (the best), Talisman, TNT and Spectro. AxeWitch

Update: Hellion is closed, and there are some new pubs on the 1st floor. The newest is TNT Rock Bar: quite big, you can listen to music ranging from Cinderella or Mötley Crüe to Rammstein or Blind Guardian, including Judas Priest, Accept, Manowar, Alice Cooper, Megadeth... and also some Spanish heavy rock.
