Rory macBeen there a few times over the years. The old DJ fella is great, has a stack of tunes, and can usually fulfil your requests. The beer is a bit pricey, and yes, you do need a few more bodies in there for atmosphere. Saturday night after midnight, probably the best time. Slap-bang in the middle of the tourist area. Mind your wallet in the streets outside!

steveSuperb bar. DJ played all my requests including dimmu borgir, slipknot, SOAD, Rammstein, etc. Happy "Hour" is Sun-Thurs 20.00-22.30 which is 2 for 1. Rock n rolla on the other side of the street has their happy "Hour" 18.00-20.00 so if you time it right yule be laughing!

HermesWhen I entered this location on a thursday night, the crowd existed of below average members of the breezer culture and the song playing was Nirvana´s Smells Like Teen Spirit.
Enough Said
skyblueleeDuring the two hours we were in there (Sat 17th May 2008) they played one metal track, albeit the incomparable 'Imperium' by Machine Fucking Head.

The rest of the playlist consisted of stuff like The Clash, Def Leppard etc. Rubbish!

ErasmusAll-red lighting and more tequila than you can shake a stick at, does not a Metal bar make. The bar staff were cordial at best, the music was mainstream rock (Offspring, Green Day, Rage Against The Machine), and 4 Euro for a 33cl bottle of Heineken just isn't cricket. Headphones provided for people who want more volume. Very quite too. Just across the way from Rocka Rolla, so easy enough to pop in and have a look.

MandragoreWent Aug. 07. Looks like a red light district joint. Everything is red. During weekdays only a couple of people present, not nearly enough to create any kind of atmosphere in such a big pub. Saturday wasn't much better.

SnowdogWent May 07 and it is fairly crowded which is good. Barcelona sucks when it comes to volume (local laws) so they have loads of headphones everywhere and you put them on when you want it LOUDER. Downside - they didn't play requests (even thoguh there are signs everywhere saying to ask) and a lot of the crowd aren't in band T's so I wonder if all are into the music or the scene there. But its worth checking out.
