the.third.policeman Rocka Rolla was a small Metal bar with Spanish beer on tap, which was reasonably priced too. The staff were very friendly and offered to take requests from customers. It was a mostly Metal orientated playlist and it seemed like a laid back atmosphere. It's somewhere pleasent to have a cold beer and a chat with friends.

Atom Zombie Went to Barcelona in October 2009 and pretty much spent every night in this bar! It's a small bar but has a great atmosphere, friendly bar staff, location is right in the center of historic Barcelona!

Doctor WhoThe sign outside said???
I found it with google maps.
Its across the street from the google. maps point.
It wasn't crowded at all on a Thursday night about at 9 or 10 o'clock. Friendlay staff, and a few locals.
Nice cozy feel. Waitresses played Foreigner, etc, but they played my request for Immortal! And, another guy wanted to hear Master of Puppets, and they played a great Barcelona speed metal band called Alcoholica Society, or something similar. Good times!

MelodyI have to say this was definitely my favourite metal bar in barcelona, & I'll tell you why. it's small & intimate, which I like, and the owners speak english and are very friendly and happy to help recommend other metal places to go & tell you how to get to them. it is also easy to find. it is a little bright so if you like a really dark bar try tequila across the street. at tequila they were not that friendly though and our song request never got played. at rocka rolla any song we asked for that they had they played right away, even if it wasn't like the last song they were playing! awesome people, cool bar, easy to find, highly recommended. :)
Erasmus

ErasmusNo frills metal bar, with limits on the volume because of the local residents. Having said that, the music is good, with leanings towards old school heavy / thrash metal (Megadeth / Maiden etc). The staff were very friendly and helped us find a lot of the other places on this list. The clientele were also friendly, and there weren't many kids. The beer is reasonably priced, and it's a few minutes off La Rambla, too. I'd recommend this place for people who haven't been to Barca before and are finding their feet.

SnowdogIf this is the place opposite Tequila then it is worth you stopping by. Its a Classic Rock venue mostly and the lady who runs it is a Megadeath fan. Volume is really low and there isn't anything you can do about it. Good for a late afternoon drink but probably not a place to spend all night in.

AxeWitchJust a very standard Spanish metal bar, but located within walking distance from La Rambla (Barcelona main drag) and generally a pretty die-hard crowd frequets Playboy (minus the kiddies). Great place to warm up at the beginning of the night.
