Stumbled upon this place while running away from a drunk man at the U-bahn. We were actually on our way to another place which turned out to be closed that evening so we kept walking and found the Wikingerbar.
Best bar I've ever been to. They played my favourite amon amarth song for me which made my night - along with the mead in drinking horns!
Definitely going back there next time I go to Berlin

Loved the place, first time in Berlin from the UK and sort out this bar after reading the reviews - arrived to metallica and then requested Opeth which Barman Ralph proceeded to put on next, great stuff! Drunk mead through a horn whilst wearing a leather viking hat - does it get any better than this? Ralph and regular drinker George are legends. Made us feel very welcome, thanks very much.

Someone previously mentioned that Rock and Wikinger is 40 mins walk from Halford. I would suggest that it is closer to 15 minutes, 20 tops. Going again in April. Cannot wait.

Very good music. Excellent bar service. Highly recommended. Very near of the Jailbreak, another excellent bar.

Very cool place. Quiet during weekdays. Great atmosphere. Owner, staff and locals are extremely friendly. Music excellent and song requests are no problem. Best metal bar in Berlin and easily one of the best of Europe.

Visited this small viking themed bar in September mid week so was quite quiet. However I am told gets busy at weekends. Decorated viking style, with giant horns to be drunk from, animal skins on the walls etc......lagers, mead and all usual drinks to a background of loud heavy / thrash metal. Would like to try the place at weekends when all the locals are in, can imagine it rowdy. Nearest U Bahn is Samariterstrasse on line U5....about 40 mins walk from Rock Halford bar if you want to visit both in one night.

Can't add any more really.

Mead, horns, beer, odd cocktails (The one to do with Thor's axe was my favourite,) a pool table, great staff and, oh yeah, the perfect soundtrack to enjoy all of these things to.

Am looking forward to going back.

Have been to Rock and Viking 3 times now and I have to say, the place gets better with each visit. Very friendly, good beer, brilliant atmosphere. One of the best places in Berlin for Metal, along with Halford.

The best bar in Berlin I've been to. Musical choice is great, atmosphere is excellent, a wide choice of meads: hempf, spicy, caramel, blueberry,...served in drinking horns, a pool table, darts and the friendliest barman of the world! (He offered us four shots of a special cocktail: tequila, tomatojuice, tabasco, black pepper and Worcester sauce) Great to rince your mouth!
