CylonKingAs we were walking up to Halford, I jokingly said 'Do they have a big statue of Rob Halford outside?'. My girlfriend promptly said 'Of course!'. And sure enough, a big statue of a muscled up Rob Halford greeted us as we walked into the bar.
The decoration is typically Metal, with albums, photos, posters and candles all around the walls. The beer prices were very reasonable, though we weren't tempted enough to try any of the wonderfully named cocktails (AC/DC, Rammstein, Twisted Sister etc) , the staff were exceptionally friendly, (always the biggest points winner in my book) the music was excellent, though less reliance on live DVD's (they show them on 2 big screens) and more on CD's would have been appreciated as the CD selection when played was excellent (Rammstein, Nightwish, Grave Digger, Anthrax, Maiden, all classic stuff). They have a Pool table and the obligatory Table Football that has to appear in every Metal bar in Germany by law (allegedly). So to summarise, this is probably the best Metal bar I have been to in Germany so far, just pipping the Rock and Viking bar (Berlin) Jailbreak (also Berlin) and The Cave (Köln) as my favourite. We had such a good time in this place, that our next trip to Germany will probably be to Berlin, where you will find us in Halford in all of it's cheesy glory.
