The place to be for pretentious people
More of a indie place than a metal bar. Bar Loose became "the place to be" at some point during the last years. As a result the atmosphere isn't that nice. And on weekends might have a long que. Lot's of pretentious posers who want to be seen (local reality-tv-celebrities etc). Thus the nickname Bar Loser. Also they often charge at least a couple of euros just to let you in. Try it out but, if you're an honest genuine metal/rock person you'll probably enjoy more the other nearby bars such as Base or Praha or one of the rock clubs.

Really nice attitude and friendly staff, but not really very metal-oriented. Nice place to relax and have a few drinks though.

Not really a metal oriented place but ok anyway. However, normally there aren't any live gigs.

Good bar for mid-week chill out drinks. Even mid-week we had to squish into a spot.

atmospheric!
Heard about this place before I came to helsinki. Its very small so be prepared to stand or be squished. Not so much metal as alternative in my books but still worth a drink or two
