Base is located at the heart of Helsinki but it still is just an unpretentious great pub. It doesn't try to be trendy or hip and that makes it feel more honest than some of the other places in Helsinki.

If you want to sit with friends enjoying a pint and conversation in a relaxed atmosphere with metal music this is perfect. Because of the location it draws also other than pure metal heads but definitely most of the customers wear black and leather. It's open fairly late and you can always easily move to a nearby club if you still want to continue.

This is a fun, party crowd, but not everyone is as pure a metalhead as some other bars in the area. This is more a place to see and be seen, not that there is anything wrong with that if that is what you are looking for!
